A few weeks ago, most people were stunned when Fox News parted ways with Tucker Carlson.
Well, parted ways is a bit of an exaggeration because Tucker Carlson is still under contract by Fox News.
That, too, may change, as reports are blowing up right now that Carlson is turning the screws on Fox News.
Let Me Go
Carlson reportedly wants out of the contract so he can do his own thing.
Axios reported that Carlson is pressing Fox News to allow him to work for or start another network.
Fox, however, does not want to face off against Carlson.
The report stated that Fox News is actually willing to give him a significant raise to keep him sidelined until after the election.
Fox has reportedly put $20 million a year on the table for Tucker to stay on the sidelines.
Carlson’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, told Axios that “the idea that anyone is going to silence Tucker and prevent him from speaking to his audience is beyond preposterous.”
While no longer having to worry about getting in the studio each night, Carlson has reportedly been very busy.
If the reports are accurate, he has been talking to Trump about moderating a debate for him.
He is also reportedly having conversations with Elon Musk about backing a possible upstart network.
Stay tuned, folks, because this sounds like it is going to get ugly very quickly.
