Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) has been going off on the resistance against Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as Speaker of the House.
Crenshaw is not really interested in their concerns, only grabbing some headlines in the media with an over-the-top response.
For instance, he referred to those members as “terrorists,” something to which Tucker Carlson took exception.
Really?
After airing Crenshaw’s soundbite, Carlson unloaded.
He stated, “They’re terrorists now?
“It’s hard not to see the connection, because over the past few years pretty much every part of the war on terror has been turned against the domestic political enemies of the neocons.
“So now they’re coming out and telling you what they told you about Iraq: Either you’re with us or against us.
“You’re on the side of light or darkness.
“You’re good or evil.”
In all honesty, Crenshaw sounds more like a Democrat than a conservative.
Here is the segment…
And let that last line from Crenshaw sink in… “they are our enemies right now.”
Crenshaw is now vowing revenge against those that voting for McCarthy right now as well as spreading a bogus narrative that they have not made their desires clear to McCarthy.
So what happened to debate and allowing everyone’s voice to be heard?
To that point, Carlson stated, “No matter how you feel, you have to acknowledge, if you’re being honest, that people who don’t like Kevin McCarthy have a reason for that.
“They have real concerns, real issues, but you’ll notice that Dan Crenshaw didn’t address any of those, none of them, instead he impugned their motives, their character, their intelligence, their moral standards.”
I have to be honest, I have pretty much lost all respect for Crenshaw because he is doing nothing more than grabbing headlines to drive donations right now.
Instead of trashing his fellow Republicans, maybe he should in there trying to address their concerns, concerns he clearly could care less about.
Crenshaw is the one with despicable behavior, not the resistance to McCarthy.
