The first bus load of invading migrants arrived in Washington, D.C. Wednesday morning. As soon as they get released by CBP, Texas Governor Greg Abbott is offering them a free ride to the Capitol. When a reporter cornered Jen Psaki about it, all she could say is that “they’re all in immigration proceedings.” Certainly, she continued, “that would mean they’re in touch with the appropriate entities in the government.” Those “appropriate entities” are scrambling to figure out what to do with them now, just as Abbott expected.
Arriving by the bus load
Abbott lined up a fleet of 900 coaches to bus the invading illegals straight to Capitol Hill and they’re already rolling. The first group pulled in Wednesday morning, April 13. Lots more follow right behind. It’s a regular convoy. The Texas governor vows to keep the pipeline flowing. CNN couldn’t wait to greet the first few citizens of the District.
They talked to five of them who “said they were from Venezuela and had arrived at the US-Mexico border on Sunday.” All of them used the magic word “asylum,” so were instantly released from custody and provided with a brand new smart-phone.
They confirmed to the liberal outlet that they weren’t coerced into boarding the bus. They were offered a “voluntary” ride to D.C. and took the governor up on it. The vehicle pulled up in front of the building which houses Fox News in the city and parked. Of course, the conservative network “aired the migrants disembarking live.”
The migrants were thrilled with the accommodations from Texas. Even though the ride was over 30 hours, “food and water were provided.”
According to one of the new citizens, “while it was a long journey, it was a good trip.” According to Juan Luis Rondon Martinez, formerly of Venezuela, “they treated us well.”
The idea behind the shuttle bus plan isn’t to punish the migrants. Instead, it’s meant to send a clear message to Washington that their policies have consequences. Texas isn’t prepared for the upcoming invasion. If Washington wants migrants, let them figure out how to care for them.
Meet the needs
Governor Abbott made it crystal clear every bus load is the full responsibility of Biden and his minions. “By busing migrants to Washington, D.C., the Biden administration will be able to more immediately meet the needs of the people they are allowing to cross our border.” They asked for it, they got it. “Texas should not have to bear the burden of the Biden administration’s failure to secure our border.” Catholic Charities DC is stunned. They’re the ones who provide “social services such as food assistance and medical care.”
When she met the first load of illegals at the Capitol, group spokesperson Kate Kennedy observed “They’re tired, they’re hungry. They need clothing, a shower.” The charity is buying bus tickets to send them straight down to Florida now. As CNN reports, “Catholic Charities DC also bought bus tickets for migrants to journey to other cities, including Miami.”
Abbott is paying the bus company with taxpayer money but defends the move as cheap compared to what Texans would be stuck with if the illegals remain in state. The funds were “appropriated by the Texas Legislature for border security,” the Texas Division of Emergency Management confirmed. Federal Officials claim they have everything under control and aren’t happy that Abbot came up with the plan to drop ship illegals to D.C. without consulting them first.
DHS issued a statement that “through its Southwest Border Coordination Center, DHS is executing carefully designed plans to manage the processing and transport of non-citizens arriving at the border.” Try to get a name and approximate date of birth, hand them a new smart-phone and show them to the door. “Any individual state’s interest in assisting in our plans’ execution should be carefully coordinated with us.”
As soon as the fresh citizens are “processed by federal authorities and released from custody, they’re allowed to move throughout the country while they go through immigration court proceedings.”
Since they’re free to go where they please, Abbott and his officials are recommending that Washington, D.C. is absolutely perfect this time of year, with the cherry blossoms and everything. We have a free bus right here. Snacks included. All aboard!
