A teen in Wisconsin murdered his parents to fund an overthrow of the federal government. Killing President Trump was an important part of the plot. Apparently, he didn’t think it all the way through. Nikita Casap will have lots of time in prison to consider his mistake.
Teen assassin targets Trump
Wisconsin teen Nikita Casap is safely in custody after allegedly killing his parents. The 17-year-old’s motive for murder was to “obtain the financial means and autonomy necessary.”
According to federal prosecutors, he needed cash “to kill President Donald Trump and overthrow the U.S. government.” He had his preliminary hearing April 9 and hasn’t entered a plea.
It didn’t take long for detectives investigating the disappearance of his parents to arrest the teen. They did that in March.
Casap was initially charged with “two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of hiding a corpse.” They kept tacking on charges as the case progressed.
After they discovered the bodies of his parents, authorities added counts for “theft of property over $10,000 and misappropriating ID to obtain money.” They pieced his motive together like a jigsaw puzzle until they got to the real objective the disturbed teen had in mind.
“Other parties, with whom Casap was in contact, appear to have been aware of his plans of action and to have provided assistance to Casap in carrying them out.” They haven’t been arrested yet.
Pursuing federal charges
According to the court documents, police “are pursing federal charges including conspiracy, presidential assassination and use of weapons of mass destruction.”
They plan to try the teen as an adult. His 51-year-old stepfather Donald Mayer was found dead with the suspect’s natural mother, Tatiana Casap, age 35.
Both were “found dead inside their home by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department on March 1.” The coroner ruled they were shot to death. They had a pretty good idea who the prime suspect was and soon had all the proper warrants to search every device the teen possessed.
“He was in touch with other parties about his plan to kill the President and overthrow the government of the United States. And he paid for, at least in part, a drone and explosives to be used as a weapon of mass destruction to commit an attack.”
As soon as they got into his phone, they found all sorts of material related to “The Order of Nine Angles.” That, investigators say, is “a network of individuals holding new-Nazi racially motivated extremist views.”
The teen also wrote a whole bunch of documents himself. His writings call “for the assassination of Trump and the start of a revolution.” It has to happen to “save the white race,” he believed.
