There is a big story coming out of Afghanistan that the liberal media will not touch.
According to the report, more than 200 people have been murdered in the form of extrajudicial killings.
Overall, there have been more than 800 human rights violations in Afghanistan since Joe Biden turned the country over to the Taliban.
Where Is the Media?
The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) issued the report, but the mainstream media in this country did not even bat an eyelash over it.
As we all know, if it was Trump in office when this report fell, it would be a nationwide headline.
Now, it is only right-wing media and Fox News reporting it.
U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, stated, “The report presents a sobering picture of the treatment of individuals affiliated with the former government and security forces of Afghanistan since the Taliban takeover of the country.
“Even more so, given they were assured that they would be not targeted, it is a betrayal of the people’s trust.”
The UN has tried to urge the Taliban to address the issue, but, of course, the Taliban even refuses to admit this is taking place.
In fact, after the report came out, the Taliban’s foreign ministry affairs office outright rejected the report.
It stated, “No military staff of the previous administration has been arrested, detained or tortured because of his activities in the security institutions.
“Those employees of the previous administration who joined the opposition groups of the Islamic Emirate or had military activities to the detriment of the system, have been arrested and introduced to judicial authorities, keeping in mind all the legal processes.”
The human rights violations will continue, the Taliban will continue to deny they are happening, and as long as Biden is in office, the problem will continue to be ignored by the media.
