Elon Musk has taken over Twitter but conservatives such as Mike Lindell are still being banned from the social media platform.
Twitter Strikes Again
Twitter, along with almost every other prominent social media platform, continuously bans conservatives from its platforms in the name of stopping “misinformation.” The United States is very rapidly looking more and more like communist China which has extreme censoring procedures in place.
Mike Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow, was originally banned from Twitter in January 2021. His shunning came after he brought up irregularities in the 2020 presidential election. He has been a big supporter of President Donald Trump which has ruffled liberals’ feathers.
On May 1, 2022, Lindell found himself back on Twitter and tweeted: “Hello everybody, I’M BACK ON TWITTER. My only account is @MikeJLindell! Please RT and FOLLOW to SPREAD THE WORD.”
Lindell Makes a Short Comeback
Apparently, there have been lots of imposters who made fake accounts pretending to be the MyPillow CEO. Lindell set the record straight and confirmed that this was his one and only legitimate account.
“All those other ones are fake accounts and they’ve been using my name out there, so we started this account,” he said. “Please share with everybody you know, let everybody you know, so we can get the word out at Twitter in case they do take it down. Thanks a lot for helping out.”
But only three and a half hours later, Lindell’s Twitter account was once again suspended. While Elon Musk claims he wanted a Twitter takeover to help further freedom of speech, his own words seem to suggest otherwise.
Musk Shows Red Flags
Musk has said that it won’t just be people on the left who will be unhappy, but people on the right are still at risk of being censored still. The billionaire said that 10% on the right will still most likely face censorship at his hands and that he is mainly just concerned with the 80% in the middle.
Attacks are coming thick and fast, primarily from the left, which is no surprise, however I should be clear that the right will probably be a little unhappy too.

So is the Lindell Twitter ban an omen for what is to come under Musk? Time will tell.
