Arizona Governor Doug Ducey is thumbing his nose at Joe Biden and his useless herd of handlers. The federal government can scream about it all they want but those double stacked shipping containers are staying right where they are, defending at least part of our porous border.

Arizona insists on security

Fox News is reporting on Friday, October 21, that Arizona Governor Doug Ducey “is pushing back against a demand by the Biden administration that it take down a number of shipping containers it has used to plug a gap in the incomplete border wall.” That’s putting it mildly.

Ducey spells it out in small words even Democrats can understand. Border states, he declares, “cannot rely on the federal government to ensure its security.” Joe and his cronies are useless.

There is nothing but confusion along the Arizona border with Mexico and the Biden regime doesn’t have a single clue. A “myriad of federal agencies” claim jurisdiction on the southern border “but do nothing to prevent the public nuisance caused by illegal immigration and criminal activity.” They exploit the wide open border and it drives the rightful citizens nuts.

That, Allen Clark, director of Arizona’s Department of Emergency and Military Affairs explains, “is quite frustrating to those that live, work and recreate on that border and in our state.” Clark put those words in writing and mailed them off to the Department of Interior’s Bureau of Reclamation.

That letter was a response to one sent by the bureau to Arizona Governor Ducey last week. In it, the Biden regime argued that “move in August to fill nearly 4,000 feet of gaps in the border wall with shipping containers topped with razor wire is illegal.

So is shoplifting but Democrats don’t seem to mind that. Legal or illegal is a meaningless phrase these days because the laws aren’t enforced. When they are, it is only against conservative MAGA Donald Trump supporters.

We can’t wait

A previous statement by Ducey made it crystal clear that “Arizona has had enough. We can’t wait any longer.” Meanwhile, the Bureau of Reclamation is throwing a snit because the state “placed containers on lands within the vicinity of the Morelos Dam and also on land that is part of the Cocopah Indian Tribe’s West Reservation.

If that wasn’t bad enough, the bureau is mad because “the placement interferes with a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) project to fill the gaps.” That claim is a total bunch of crap, Ducey prods back. They might as well throw in a paragraph about how the containers are preventing the migration of endangered desert tortoises, or something. Oh wait, they did. “The move will obstruct a critical jaguar and ocelot migration corridor.” Not as much as it will obstruct the “coyote” corridor.

The bureau didn’t like the way Ducey told them to put up and complete construction as promised, or shut up and stop bugging him about the shipping containers. The flat refusal Arizona threw down knocked them for a loop.

The bureau spokesperson started babbling to claim “the bureau’s priority is to ensure the integrity of the water delivery infrastructure and the safety of its workforce in order to maintain operational readiness.” That’s also a bunch of crap because “CBP put out a notice of its own plan to close the gaps near the Morelos Dam.

Arizona, Ducey wrote, “cannot rely on the federal government to ensure its security.” Biden’s crew “have said that border construction was set to begin since December of 2021. However, to date, Arizona has not seen any action by the federal government to do so and was therefore required to take its own action. For this reason, the containers will remain in place until specific details regarding construction are provided.

Separately, a spokesperson for the Governor’s office added, “sadly the federal government doesn’t seem to be acting either with a sense of urgency or in good faith to deal with this problem.
