The people of Pennsylvania can sleep a lot better now.
After two weeks, the manhunt for Danelo Cavalcante is over.
Cavalcante escaped from prison on August 31, and after two weeks, police finally have him back in custody.

Cavalcante escaped the PA prison by scaling the walls.
It may seem like a long time, but two weeks is actually relatively short, especially when you consider the terrain where he was hiding.
Cavalcante has been hiding during the day, then traveling at night to avoid being seen.
It actually took a K-9 officer to find him, with Officer Yoga sniffing him out under a pile of leaves.
Officer Yoda managed to get a couple of bites in, leaving Cavalcante’s face a bloody mess.
Luckily for police officers, Officer Yoda found him when he did because Cavalcante had stolen a rifle along his way, but he never got the chance to fire at officers thanks to Officer Yoda.
Lt. Col. George Bivens of the Pennsylvania State Police stated, “Cavalcante did not realize he was surrounded until he was.”
The Brazilian native was convicted of murder after having killed his girlfriend here in the States by stabbing her roughly 30 times.
She has stumbled upon information that Cavalcante had committed a murder in Brazil and was wanted, so he killed her to keep her quiet.
Thankfully, this madman is finally off the streets.
