As if Special Counsel Jack Smith wasn’t scandalous enough on his own, he’s made the decision to add a new member to his team in a feeble attempt to prosecute former President Donald Trump. The newest member, Alex Whiting, is said to be an experienced war crimes prosecutor who’s previously worked with Smith at The Hague in the late 1990s.

Alex Whiting is no stranger to criminal justice and prosecution. He was hired by then-Dean Elena Kagan to teach at Harvard Law School and has also served as a prosecutor for both the International Criminal Court and DOJ in Boston where he specialized in organized crime.

Furthermore, Politico uncovered that Whiting is an avid anti-Trumper who consistently wrote articles and gave interviews supporting Robert Mueller’s investigation into Trump’s campaign — which was later revealed to have had nothing on him.

Additionally Open Secrets reported that he made donations over the years to Democrats such as Elizabeth Warren and Barack Obama, thus proving his allegiance lies with them rather than Republicans or Trump himself.

Axios reported that a Florida judge overseeing confidential documents struck down two filings from Smith’s team while just last month a three-judge panel in Washington D.C., ruled against granting access to phone records belonging Rep Scott Perry — an ally of former President Trump — from Smith’s Jan 6 case.

Even before this incident, it came out back in July that Smith hadn’t handed over all relevant evidence to Trump’s lawyers despite claiming otherwise; another major setback for him and his team’s progress towards prosecuting Donald Trump.

Ultimately it seems like Jack Smith wanted more help after suffering so many losses when attempting to take down former President Donald Trump, hence why he brought on Alex Whiting whose loyalty clearly lies with Democrats.

Not only this but Smith was attempting to impose a gag order on President Trump limiting his free speech rights – making this latest appointment even more suspicious than ever before.
