Antifa® brand anarchists peacefully set an Atlanta Police Department cruiser on fire and smashed windows at two bank branches on January 21. They were exercising their right to protest after one of their members was killed in a shootout with police.
Antifa troops attack Atlanta
According to Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, “at least six” anarchists associated with Antifa ideology were arrested “after a peaceful protest Saturday erupted into a night of chaos and violence.” One that “included protesters smashing windows and setting a police vehicle on fire.” He assures concerned citizens that this isn’t as bad as that time when General Sherman blazed his way through. Even though it seems that way. “Atlanta is safe and our police officers have resolved the disruptions downtown from earlier in the evening.”
Mayor Dickens made it clear that the antifa anarchists have clear rights and they’ll be protected. “The City of Atlanta and the Atlanta Police Department will continue to protect the right to peaceful protest.” He asked nicely for the anarchists not to burn anything else.
Protesters peacefully deployed mortar style fireworks and “rocks at the Atlanta Police Foundation Saturday evening,” to voice their displeasure with local law enforcement. The Socialist minded guerrillas shattered bank windows as a message to capitalists in general.

As reported by Fox News, the protests may have started out peacefully “before spiraling into chaotic riots.” They note that over “the span of several hours, destruction ensued through several blocks of the downtown area.”
The Antifa sympathizers were “angry about the death of 26-year-old Manuel Esteban Paez Teran, who was killed by police.” They had a good reason. Sniper-like, the anarchist turned amateur assassin hid in his tent, while firing “at state troopers.” They fired right back.
Cop training center
The band of Antifa guerrillas have been occupying a piece of the forest slated to be the new Atlanta Public Safety Training Center.
Teran, a nonbinary known affectionately as Tortuguita acted like his “little turtle” namesake and hid in his shell, while blasting from concealed cover. The tent didn’t save his life when troopers returned fire.
The officer of Georgia’s State Patrol was wearing a vest but got shot in the abdomen. He’s reportedly “in stable condition and is recovering from surgery.”
BREAKING: One of the suspects arrested at the Atlanta attack by #Antifa is Francis Carroll, who was out on bail for domestic terrorism from an arrest last month at the autonomous zone. He's been charged w/terrorism again, arson & more. He's from a multi-millionaire Maine family. https://t.co/djeVljbXi6 pic.twitter.com/Oa9h3BR0UZ

The Antifa soldier didn’t make it. “Other law enforcement personnel returned fire in self-defense and evacuated the trooper to a safe area. The individual who fired upon law enforcement and shot the trooper was killed in the exchange of gunfire.”
The governor isn’t as friendly toward Antifa as the mayor is. Governor Brian Kemp made it clear he’s not going to allow a repeat performance. Atlanta isn’t Portland, yet. “While the state continues to respect peaceful protest, acts of violence against person or property will not be tolerated. Those committing such unlawful acts will be arrested and prosecuted fully.”
Seven of them were and charged with domestic terrorism, too. “Atlanta Police officers have responded to a group damaging property at several locations” All along “iconic” Peachtree Street. “Caution tape also wrapped around several buildings including a Wells Fargo location that suffered several broken windows.“
