Joe Biden was trying to be funny again.
The liberal horde ate it up, including two staffers that were all smiles behind Biden.
Conservatives were not so happy with this twisting of the facts.
Whacko!
Biden loves to selectively pick data and drop it in to suit his purpose.
I will explain that in a second, but let’s get to Biden’s comments first.
Biden was trying to justify his corporate tax raise, and he did so in that really weird whisper he seems to think is cute.
Biden stated, “When we talk about 28% tax rate — Ronald Reagan was doing a 28% tax rate, you know that wacko liberal guy, you know.”
As Trump had to do, Reagan was forced to make some ugly concessions because he was dealing with a Democrat-controlled House.
Toward the end of his presidency, there was also the reality that Reaganomics did not really work out the way he thought it would.
Even so, Reagan gave American businesses a huge boost by getting the corporate tax lowered from 46 percent to 34 percent during his presidency.
Trump took it down even lower to 21 percent, and it was getting the attention of businesses who started to open up shop here.
Now Joe Biden is dropping the hammer on them again, ensuring that they run for the hills.
Nice job, Joe.
