Biden Special Envoy RESIGNS

After only two months on the job, Joe Biden’s special envoy to Haiti threw up his hands in disgust and walked out the door. Lassoing Haitians along the Rio Grande is bad enough but nobody would be complaining about Biden’s performance evacuating Afghanistan if it went half as well as the deportation of Haitian refugees.

Envoy calls Biden ‘inhumane’

What Imperial Leader Joe Biden is doing to Haitian refugees is absolutely “inhumane” U.S. Special Envoy to Haiti Daniel Foote declared in his resignation letter. The palace is deporting asylum seekers faster than Donald Trump even dreamed possible.

The emissary simply can’t figure out how we can welcome Afghan refugees with open arms while sending one planeload of Haitians after another back to a crap-hole country perennially wracked by natural disasters and a recent presidential assassination.

The double standard is ridiculous, the envoy declared.

As he told Secretary of State Antony Blinken, “I will not be associated with the United States inhumane, counterproductive decision to deport thousands of Haitian refugees and illegal immigrants to Haiti, a country where American officials are confined to secure compounds because of the danger posed by armed gangs to daily life.”

“Right on!” his Haitian counter parts declare. “This is the first time we see a U.S. diplomat who has decided to go against the will of the U.S. government,” praises Haiti’s election minister Mathias Pierre. “We salute that.”

Things aren’t going so well for the envoy here at home. Democrats are calling him a traitor for telling the truth.

They won’t listen

The brouhaha exploded on Thursday, September 23. Special Envoy Foote took over in July, right after the assassination of Haiti’s President Jovenel Moise. Things went downhill from there. Nobody wanted to listen to any of his ideas.

He was “known to be deeply frustrated with what he considered a lack of urgency in Washington and a glacial pace on efforts to improve conditions in Haiti.” If we won’t help Puerto Rico, which is at least an American territory, why would we help the Haitians? Their voodoo doesn’t work in Washington.

“Our policy approach to Haiti remains deeply flawed,” the turncoat penned, “and my policy recommendations have been ignored and dismissed, when not edited to project a narrative different from my own.” He’s young and politically naive, State Department officials scold. Now his career future involves a grill and a spatula.

“It is unfortunate that, instead of participating in a solutions-oriented policy process, Special Envoy Foote has both resigned and mis-characterized the circumstances of his resignation.” State Department spokesman Ned Price relates. “No ideas are ignored, but not all ideas are good ideas.”

Going against the Imperial Palace was one of those bad ideas. Now that Special Envoy Foote won’t be taking blame for the failures in Haiti, nobody else seems to want the job either. Ambassador Michele Sison is heavily relieved to have pressing engagements elsewhere.

Shortly before her star underling decided he wasn’t going to play patsy, just to advance a political career, Ambassador Sison was “nominated to serve in another State Department post.” She’s off to anyplace that isn’t Haiti as fast as she can get there.
