Special Counsel David Weiss has dropped one of the gun charges against Hunter Biden.
Weiss called it a procedural step.
Hunter still faces three more felony charges in this indictment.
Drop the Charge
I really need to brace you guys for the fact that Hunter Biden will never be sent to jail.
The charges are legit, but since he is a first-time offender, these charges are likely to get pleaded down to lesser counts.
I am afraid that the most we can hope for is probation, a fine, and some community service.
Now, I have pointed to the Kodak Black case in the past, where he was sentenced to 46 months for a very similar charge.
However, I did not realize that Black was a repeat offender, which is why he was sent to jail.
On a different note, the narrative many media outlets are pushing that these charges are over the top is ludicrous.
Biden was charged properly, but that just may not be how this all plays out.
I was talking to an attorney friend of mine and he suspects that a plea deal will eventually be worked out unless Biden takes this to trial.
The overwhelming majority of these types of cases wind up with a plea deal, but going to court will require him to defend the charges as they stand now.
The evidence here is pretty cut and dry, so I just don’t see how Hunter can win this case.
Personally, I hope he goes to trial so they can throw the book at him.
