The state of Colorado continues to get bluer and looks much more like California than the state it used to be.
Colorado Says No to Pro-Life
Thanks to Democrat politicians, the Reproductive Health Equity Act was born.
In April, hyper-liberal Governor Jared Polis signed the bill into law and gave a statement about why he believes that women should have the right to have their unborn babies killed.
“In the State of Colorado, the serious decision to start or end a pregnancy with medical assistance will remain between a person, their doctor, and their faith,” Polis said.
“This bill simply maintains the status quo regardless of what happens at the federal level and preserves all existing constitutional rights and obligations,” he continued.
Basically, Colorado has been allowing abortions but it was not technically law yet. It has become the 16th state to allow abortion of full-term unborn babies.
Republicans Fought Back
Republican state legislators are very outnumbered in the Colorado state House and Senate. But that did not stop them from making it hard on the Democrats. The Republican representatives and senators debated on HB22-1279 for almost twenty-four hours.
Roe vs Wade is a big talking point when it comes to the supreme court. Christians are hopeful that the Supreme Court might reverse the abortion ruling. But Colorado Democrats are also hopeful that their new abortion law will keep that from happening.
“No matter what the Supreme Court does in the future, people in Colorado will be able to choose when and if they have children,” said Polis.
Colorado or California?
Colorado is sinking deeper into being a state that is too far from being able to return to having a Republican majority.
Election integrity has come under question when a county clerk in the state found irregularities and captured the evidence. Since then, Soros-backed Secretary of State Jena Griswold has been using the FBI to target the clerk to try and keep her silent.
If the elections can’t be won fairly, it looks as if Colorado’s extreme abortion law will be followed with more bills that hurt Republicans.
