Sacramento County health officials have just made a rather startling decision that is going to put more lives at risk, not protect them.
Officials announced those coming into contact with anyone that has tested positive for coronavirus no longer need to self-quarantine for 14 days.
High-Risk on the Streets
It is widely accepted by our top health officials that isolation is one of the best ways to defeat this virus.
When people are in highly populated and/or congested areas, the threat of contracting the virus increases.
This is why we are seeing mass cancellations of professional and college sports.
That, however, is not how Sacramento County health officials see it.
This is the statement directly from their website:
“Sacramento County announced today that it will shift its effort to community mitigation measures that will slow the spread of COVID-19 in the community, protect those who are most vulnerable to severe illness, and allow our health care system to prepare resources to take care of severely ill patients. These new measures will include cessation of 14-day quarantines.
“Quarantine – With the shift from containment to mitigation, it is no longer necessary for someone who has been in contact with someone with COVID-19 to quarantine for 14 days. This applies to the general public, as well as health care workers and first responders.”
Careless Cannot be Tolerated
Many of the cases we have here in the United States are from individuals that were exposed overseas.
During the early stages of this pandemic, people continued to go about their business, and the result is the disease is now spreading throughout our country.
Due to holdups on testing kit supplies, we find ourselves not really knowing just how bad this problem is in our own country.
The fact these officials are now encouraging people that could be infected to walk freely is rather disturbing.
It may also require action by the federal government to ensure residents of this specific county do not unknowingly infect other people.
As I have stated many times, leading health officials recommend self-quarantine after exposure, covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. If you are exposed to someone coughing or sneezing, do not touch your face until you have thoroughly washed your hands.
For exact information on updates and recommended practices, ONLY listen to the professionals directly involved in this crisis (Dr. Fauci, the CDC, and WHO).
The voters who keep electing these liberals are getting exactly what they deserve. CA = LAND OF FRUITS and NUTS.
and flakes!
Sacramento, that would be in California would it not? Why would it be a surprise that a California city or country would do something which poses a clear and present danger to it’s citizens? After all, I’m certain that this same area is completely committed to sanctuary cities/counties. If they don’t give a crap whether you get robbed, raped or murdered by one of their potential illegal voters, why should they give a damn if you infect or get infected by your neighbors? Furthermore, since it is a sanctuary city/county it is very likely that any illegal immigrant who makes it across the border will head straight for the area and none of them have been tested for the virus. If you have accepted a few hundred immigrants who have the virus, what additional damage can be done by sending out your citizens who may have the same disease? Just one more reason to stay the hell away from the great state of California.
f**k Cali and f**k their politicians
Big ED, this is the second good letter of yours I’ve seen lately. Thanks
