Things are not going well for Ron DeSantis in the 2024 presidential election.
After he won his gubernatorial election, he had all the momentum he could hope for.
He was head of Trump in key battleground states and had drawn to almost even in nationwide polls.
Today, his campaign is now looking like a complete waste of time.
Wrong Way
While I understand why DeSantis took so long to declare, I think it hurt his chances by missing that early momentum.
Now Trump is trouncing him.
The latest poll for Tennessee has Trump ahead of DeSantis 61-12… just a complete massacre.
Trump is also looking very good for the general election, besting Biden by 54-34.
Even if Biden were to get all of the undecided vote, he would still fall short of grabbing the electoral votes for Tennessee.
The Real Clear Politics average is also bad news for DeSantis, with Trump now holding a 53-20.9 percent edge over DeSantis.
Again, at this point, even if everyone else dropped out, the numbers just don’t add up for DeSantis.
I am not saying this is over, far from it, but DeSantis clearly has a lot of work to do and he needs the entire field to drop out to even have a chance.
At this point, even one or two candidates remaining in the race spell doom for the governor of Florida.
