Former President Jimmy Carter has been in hospice care for more than a year.
Carter entered home hospice care in February 2023, yet he continues to hang tough.
Carter will turn 100 on October 1, and there is only one thing he wishes for before he goes.
Vote for Kamala
According to Carter’s grandson, Jimmy has only one birthday way, stating, “I’m only trying to make it to vote for Kamala Harris.”
Since Georgia allows early voting, Carter will need to be alive on October 15 for the first day of early voting to make that wish come true.
I would not question if Carter has the resolve, as the man has far outlived any expectations.
If we go back to May, his grandson had stated, “He really is, I think, coming to the end that, as I’ve said before, there’s a part of this faith journey that is so important to him, and there’s a part of that faith journey that you only can live at the very end, and I think he has been there in that space.”
That was three months ago, so another three months should be a cakewalk for Carter.
Keep in mind, when most people enter hospice care, they are gone within weeks, if not days, yet Carter has somehow managed to keep going for nearly a year and a half.
While I am not wishing for Carter to die, I have to admit, I really don’t want to see his final wish come true and if that makes me an SOB, so be it.
