Controversial top infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, complained that he believes his family is in grave danger due to his public role.
Fauci Gets Security
Fauci has been acting as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease and as an advisor on President Trump’s coronavirus task force. The “expert” said Thursday that he, his wife and daughters, have received “serious threats” which forced him to bring on security.
“I’ve seen a side of society that I guess is understandable, but it’s a little bit disturbing,” Fauci told CNN political commentator David Axelrod. He was on Axelrod’s podcast, “The Axe Files.”
“I mean, really? Is this the United States of America?” he stated.
Fauci has come under fire from many conservatives from his failing track record at predicting coronavirus data.
Republicans Call Fauci Out
Last month, Sen. Rand Paul blasted the doctor and accused him of spreading “undue fear.”
“Ultimately, this all comes down to the fatal conceit that central planners have enough knowledge somehow to tell a nation of 330 million people what they can and can’t do,” Sen. Paul stated at a hearing by the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP).
Paul, a medical doctor, added: “Perhaps our experts might consider the undue fear they are instilling in teachers who are now afraid to go back to work. We shouldn’t presume that a group of experts somehow knows what’s best for everyone.”

Despite being a huge advocate of making people wear masks, on Thursday, Fauci watched a baseball game without a mask on.
He threw the opening pitch at the Washington Nationals and New York Yankees game. Afterward, he was seen in the stands watching the game without a mask on and he sat right next to two people without providing six feet of social distancing room.
Nothing screams “I’m a fraud!” more than being against masks until your fans demanded them, lying about why you were originally against them, signaling your virtue by needlessly wearing 1 while throwing out 1st pitch (poorly & like a fame whore) & then doing THIS! #FauciTheFraud pic.twitter.com/s9M1y4GYLd

Fauci has changed his stance on many issues relating to the coronavirus pandemic, which has made many question his abilities and the powerful position he is in.
In March, he said there was “no reason to be walking around with a mask,” but now he is one of the top mask pushers in the United States.
President Donald Trump has also questioned the controversial doctor’s track record and called him “a little bit of an alarmist.”
“It’s really a magnitude different now,” he continued to tell Axelrod. “As much as people inappropriately, I think, make me somewhat of a hero… there are people who get really angry at thinking I’m interfering with their life because I’m pushing a public health agenda.”
