Judicial Watch just opened up a hornet’s nest.
A new report is making its way around regarding the voter rolls in Illinois.
If the report is accurate, there are almost 800,000 inactive voters on the Illinois voter rolls.
The Problem
This is one of the biggest problems that I have discussed regarding election fraud.
I would all but guarantee that the majority of states in this country are not properly updating their voter rolls.
This is one of the easiest ways for people to fraudulently vote.
They obtain a name, fill out the form online to get a ballot, and poof, a false ballot is filed.
This is a very easy problem to fix, as Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton stated.
“Clean voter rolls mean cleaner elections.
“This is a victory for all legal voters in Illinois.
“Voters will now have the transparency that federal law requires in order to ensure elections in Illinois are more honest and cleaner.”
Fitton was referring a court ruling that will require the release of voter rolls for the past 15 years to the plaintiffs in the case, the Illinois Conservative Union and three registered voters.
The forms will include: “registrant’s full name … residential street address … email address … telephone number, county and state voter identification number, age of the registrant, and the registrant’s status (active or inactive) and the most recent date the entry was changed.”
State Rep. Brad Halbrook stated, “These 40 day, prior to election day, vote by mail, early voting, ballots can be counted up to 14 days, the potential with rank-choice voting on the horizon, all of this stuff is not good for clean and fair elections and has to be reformed.”
This is progress, but we need more.
Just because officials stated there was not enough “widespread” election fraud to flip the outcome does not mean we ignore the problem and let it continue in the next election.
With the technology we have available, are we seriously to believe that officials cannot create a system that is free of fraud?
Just fix it so we can stop having this discussion every time there is a close election.
