Yet another scandal is sweeping through the FBI.
A report has been published showing more than 600 FBI employees resigned rather than face an investigation for sexual misconduct.
Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is now demanding answers from Attorney General Merrick Garland.
What is Happening?
I think we can all agree that right now, the FBI is a complete and utter mess.
Yet another whistleblower has come forward to reveal the latest scandal.
The documents given to Grassley show that from 2004 to 2020, more than 660 FBI employees, which included almost four dozen top-level officials, either resigned or retired before facing misconduct charges.
This does not even include the employees that bolted before an investigation was formally opened against them.
Grassley, who included Director Wray in his letter, wrote, “Simply put, these two documents show a systemic failure within the Justice Department and FBI to protect female employees from sexual harassment and sexual misconduct in the workplace and a failure to sufficiently punish employees for that same misconduct.”
I do not understand how Wray still has a job at this point.
Nor do I understand why James Comey has not been brought back to answer for everything that happened on his watch.
My guess is that will all change soon…
