Philadelphia is quickly turning into another Democrat cesspool.
It is also turning into a war zone for children.
The latest to fall was a 13-year-old boy on Tuesday.
Just a Baby
I cannot even imagine being a parent and losing a child.
To illness is bad enough.
But to lose a child like this, collateral damage to thugs, is horrifying.
Jeremiah Wilcox was hanging out with friends when he took a bullet to the head.
Police Chief Inspector Scott Small stated, “We’re not certain if he was struck by stray gunfire.
“But who and why someone would shoot a teenager intentionally, it’s unknown why someone would do that to someone so young.”
Philadelphia Federation of Teachers president Jerry T. Jordan added, “Our city is once again reeling from the murder of a child — a thirteen-year-old boy in West Oak Lane whose life was stolen from him, robbed of his future dreams and aspirations, never to even graduate eighth grade.
“My heart breaks for all who knew and loved him: his family, his friends, his neighbors, the entire Wagner Middle School community; the impact of such a tragedy is measureless.”
This boy was the 416th homicide in the city this year.
Of the 386 fatal shootings, 48.2 percent were under 18… a horrifying number.
