A County Clerk in Michigan announced that inaccuracies were discovered with posted vote-counting results at 4 a.m. on Tuesday, and are trying to understand what caused the error.
According to the Antrim County Clerk, the printed tabulator tapes did not match the total votes counted by the election software. An independent board of canvassers is reportedly verifying the results manually.
This supposed “glitch” in the software in Antrim County caused thousands of votes to be given in error to Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and Democratic Senator Gary Peters, instead of President Trump and Republican candidate John James.
Despite the evidence of impropriety, Biden has been declared the winner of Michigan’s sixteen electoral votes, as he is ahead in the state by 146,123 votes.
“In Antrim County, ballots were counted for Democrats that were meant for Republicans, causing a 6,000 vote swing against our candidates. The county clerk came forward and said, ‘tabulating software glitched and caused a miscalculation of the votes,’” Michigan GOP Chairwoman Laura Cox said at a press conference on Friday.
Multiple sources have reported that the Dominion voting systems software was used in at least 47 other counties in Michigan, and was also used in many other states.
Kyle Becker, former associate producer at Fox News and current Senior Managing Editor at the Independent Journal Review, shared a map of the states using the software on Twitter, stating: “How does an election software company literally named ‘Dominion’ get used in: Almost 30 states, 4 of the Top 10 Counties, 9 of the Top 20 Counties.
Dominion is used in MI where votes were switched from Trump to Biden. A free country does not give one company this much power.”

Many Republicans are now calling for a hand recount of votes in every county that used Dominion Voting Systems software, out of concern that the same “glitch” may have effected many more votes than have already been confirmed in Antrim County, Michigan.
