Texas Governor Greg Abbott is sending armored personnel carriers to the border, as a sign of how serious he really is. The announcement came on Friday, hard on the heels of the governor’s “invasion” clause invocation earlier in the week.

The armored personnel carriers which conservative Texas Governor Greg Abbott is sending to defend our southern border aren’t “tanks.” But, that’s how the liberal media is describing them. Democrats are terrified that force will be used to repel what Texas has now officially declared an “invasion.”
Abbott cited both the state and federal versions of the constitutional clause as a last ditch effort to stop the flood of border jumpers. Some even camouflaged in ghillie suits.
The equipment was rolled out under the prior authorization of Operation Lone Star. The 10 armored units are M113 models and come with National Guard troops to operate them.

Approximately 50 of the soldiers will be specially trained to operate the heavy equipment. They’re described as “small tracked vehicles designed to carry infantry troops in combat zones alongside tanks.” We don’t need tanks yet.
State officials are planning where to deploy each of the 10 units along the border but aren’t saying much in the way of details. What they are saying was released in an official statement.
“These actions are part of a larger strategy to use every available tool to fight back against the record-breaking level of illegal immigration.” Armored personnel carriers may be an unprecedented measure but something has to be done to “safeguard our border and to repel and turn-back immigrants trying to cross the border illegally.”
A joint effort since March 2021
Abbott unleashed Operation Lone Star all the way back in March of 2021. It was meant a “joint effort between the National Guard and Texas Department of Public Safety to combat illegal immigration and crime at the border.” It’s been a losing battle ever since and the federal government keeps making things even worse.
Recently, things turned violent when border patrol agents were attacked by angry Venezuelans who were organized by an American activist. Armored transport will help get more pepper-ball shooting defenders to the border, quicker and safer than ever before.
Abbott thought that busing some of the overload up to the Democrat sanctuary cities who ordered them. He thought it would wake up all the woke progressives to the invasion which goes unchecked.

It caused a lot of excitement but didn’t produce any real results. If Mayorkas won’t protect our border Texas will. With armored vehicles and anything else which might be required.
Meanwhile, back at the Imperial Palace, they told Border Patrol Chief Chris Magnus to clean out the desk because he was resigning. “No, I’m not,” he replied. “Yes, you are, they insisted.” “Okay, since you insist,” he caved. He’s smart enough to know when he isn’t wanted.
When Abbott saw the way the only federal official actually trying to defend the border was treated, Abbott declared the invasion and ordered the armored personnel carriers. If that’s the way Biden wants it, that’s what he’ll get.
