Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) decided to take his show on the road.
The committee held a hearing on location in New York to talk about the crimes that Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg is NOT prosecuting as well as some cases he never should have tried to take to court.
During the hearing, things got a little edgy, to say the least.
Do Your Job
Jordan had some pretty interesting witnesses at the hearing.
He had the mother of a murder victim where some of the suspects were let off without so much as a slap on the wrist.
He also had the bodega clerk that Bragg tried to charge in what was clearly a self-defense case…
Madeline Brame lost her son to murder, and she had no problem calling out Bragg…
Things got pretty crazy at one point, with Jordan ordering some of the gallery cleared…
The most disgusting part of the hearing was Rep. Johnson (D-GA) accusing the witnesses of being props for Republicans.
He stated, “The MAGA Republican extremists are not interested in gun violence, or even knife violence. The Republican witnesses who have used their time to criticize District Attorney Bragg have served as props in a MAGA Broadway production.”
So, when Dems bring illegal immigrants to SOTU addresses, that is fine, but when Republicans call witnesses, they are props.
Those seem to be the rules of today’s political world.
