Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is having a big week.
Jordan threatened to burn down the house when the GOP got back into power.
He has done that and more, and he is only getting started.
Bring Them In
There is very little doubt that big tech was working with Democrats to manipulate social media to hurt Republicans, specifically Donald Trump, in the last election.
Jordan is hoping to get to the bottom of that.
He subpoenaed five CEOs this week to bring them before Congress to find out exactly what they know and did.
The subpoenas were issued to Sundar Pichai of Alphabet, Andy Jassy of Amazon, Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, Satya Nadella of Microsoft, and Tim Cook of Apple.
They have until March 23 to produce “any and all documents and communications between their respective companies and the executive branch of the U.S. government that relate to the companies’ ‘moderation, deletion, suppression, restricting, or reduced circulation of content.’”
Jordan, in part, stated, “Numerous internal documents from Twitter reflect the weaponization of the federal government’s power to censor speech online.”
Now he wants to see just how far they went.
