A disgraced Louisiana judge was convicted on sex charges involving the fondling of teenage girls.
Prison Sentence for Judge Announced
After his charges, the judge resigned and as of Monday was sentenced to 14 years in prison.
Jeff Perilloux received a conviction in September on three counts of felony indecent behavior with juveniles and also received one count of misdemeanor sexual battery, KFLY reports.

He had worked as a district judge in St. John the Baptist Parish and was sentenced by Judge Dennis Waldron.
The Victims Came Forward
The girls he so horrifically abused were just 14, 15 and 17-years old at the time of the crime. At his trial, four accusers testified to the abuse they faced.
The young teens were given praise by Assistant Attorney General Matthew Debres for coming forward to authorities with their experiences of Perilloux’s unwanted advances in 2017.
“The road was not easy to travel, but today we finally arrived to justice for the young victims,” Attorney General Jeff Landry said in a news release.
Judge Waldron called Perilloux’s actions “awful, hideous and reprehensible,” as he was handing down the sentence.
As the sentence was pending, Waldron ordered the disgraced judge to be jailed after hearing the details of his accusers’ testimonies. There was a motion for a new trial but Waldron also denied that as well.
Claims Innocence
Perilloux has stated many times that he is not guilty and had qualified to run for reelection in July.
Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry released a statement about the sentencing saying,
“The road was not easy to travel, but today we finally arrived to justice for the young victims. I am proud of the hard work by AAG Matt Derbes, AAG Brooke Harris, and AAG Barry Milligan to ensure Mr. Perilloux was brought to justice. Sex offenses against children are the most serious of crimes which cause permanent psychological harm. This trauma has been exacerbated by Mr. Perilloux’s continued refusal to admit and/or take responsibility for what he did to these young women, who were children when these crimes were committed. But I hope the sentence issued today will bring some comfort to the survivors and their families.”
