We have all been waiting for the honeymoon to end for Kamala Harris, and it would appear that time has come.
Harris’s poll numbers are dropping, and Democrat voters’ enthusiasm is also starting to decline.
If this continues and Trump has a good debate, I have no doubt that Trump will take the lead again.
The Reversal
First, let’s check out the enthusiasm levels for Democrat voters.
When Harris was first named, enthusiasm went from the low 40s to over 70. Now, however, that level has dipped all the way back down to under 60.
The right’s enthusiasm has remained fairly consistent, and it is still at 60, putting Trump ahead again for the first time since Harris was named…

I firmly believe the debate on September 10 will set the tone for this election.
If Kamala has a good night, the media will gush over her, and it will re-energize voters.
If Donald Trump has a big night, it will crush their hopes, and enthusiasm will continue to go into the red.
Harris wants Trump to lose his cool and turn this into an insult competition, but Trump needs to avoid that like he did against Joe Biden and keep it about the issues.
Let’s remember that Kamala Harris has not yet posted her platform, so Trump really needs to go after her about this.
If Trump can get her to panic and have her go into a cackling fit or produce a few word salads, it will be his night.
If Harris gets under his skin and Trump starts spitting venom, the perception will be that she has won the debate.
I firmly believe that by early October, we will have a really good idea of how this election will go as well as the House and Senate races.
