Kathy Griffin Has Explosive Diarrhea, Attempts to Blame Trump

Kathy Griffin Slams Trump When She Can’t Get a Coronavirus Test for Explosive Diarrhea

Kathy Griffin was just proven to be a liar.

The past-the-prime-she-never-had “entertainer” positively HATES President Donald Trump, beyond the point of reason or even decency. No one will ever forget the infamous — and tacky — photograph showing Griffin holding what looked like the President’s severed head.

But now Griffin is using the current COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic to push a dreadfully-obvious false narrative. She is misrepresenting a case of stomach distress — i.e., diarrhea — and twisting her story to bash President Trump yet again.

Kathy Griffin Weaves Her Tale

Last week, Griffin tweeted pictures showing her masked, supposedly in what she called a “COVID-19 isolation ward room”. She had sought medical treatment sometime in early March after “showing UNBEARABLY PAINFUL symptoms”. In a phone interview after the fact, her husband, Randy Bick, described those symptoms:

…mild stomach issues (that receded temporarily)…Two days later, she woke up very early in the morning and had incredibly intense pain, vomiting, diarrhea, every 20 minutes. Just really sick.”

Griffin decided to go to the hospital because she had just returned from a trip from Mexico. When she started feeling ill, she remembered that the coronavirus has up to a 14-day incubation period. That prompted her decision.

She was treated at a local urgent care clinic, but they couldn’t control her vomiting. So, she was sent to the emergency room of a hospital with better facilities. Griffin said she was “freaked out” by this point. At the hospital, she saw tents set up outside the ER, and inside, she saw patients separated from each other.

Griffin describes hospital staff wearing various kinds of protective equipment, but it didn’t meet her expectations. “I thought I would be walking into the white suits with blue-taped ceilings, everything. I kind of expected them to put me in a shower room and all that…,” she says.

Griffin says she expected, but did not receive, a coronavirus test. Her symptoms did not meet the requirements set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. A chest X-ray showed her lungs were clear, but a CT scan revealed the abdominal infection causing her symptoms.

She was sent home, and her infection was treated with medication.

Misrepresenting the Truth

Once home, Griffin could not resist the opportunity to somehow blame President Trump for a healthcare experience that didn’t meet her expectations. Days later, she started bashing the President on social media.

He’s lying,” Griffin claimed in one caption, referring to the President’s claim of wider access to tests. In a subsequent phone interview, she said, “I just think it’s so obvious that those tests have to be accessible to everybody. A lot of people, when they hear the president saying everyone who needs a test should get one, they shouldn’t have to then go to a hospital where, frankly, they may be exposing themselves or exposing others.”

In other words, she blames President Trump personally for the fact that she did not get tested for the coronavirus. In her version, the President failed her, and by extension, the American people.

But let’s take a closer look at her story and see if that’s an accurate characterization.

She Had NO Coronavirus Symptoms

Griffin’s symptoms — abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea — do not match those for COVID-19, which is a respiratory illness. The CDC lists three primary symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath

Her symptoms weren’t even close. Remember, also, Griffin had recently returned from a trip to Mexico. Her issues sound more like a case of “Montezuma’s Revenge” than the coronavirus.

The Mask in the Photo

The picture Griffin posted shows her in a mask, and she mentions the word “coronavirus”, both calculated moves to elicit sympathy. Poor at-risk celebrity…

Her husband is specifically quoted as saying “We both put on N-95 masks and gloves, and I drove her down there.” That completely changes the story considerably, because it was her precaution, not that of the urgent care clinic.

Kathy Griffin At the Hospital

Griffin talks about what she saw at the hospital: tents set up outside, patients in masks, being kept apart from other patients, and the hospital staff wearing protective gear. She made it sound like she was in an isolated ward.

But all of these precautions are now standard procedures, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.

  • To prevent the spread of infection, hospital staff members are required to wear protective equipment when treating every patient.
  • Tents are set up outside to screen patients before they ever enter the hospital. According to an email from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, most patients treated in these tents are sent home. That would NOT be the case if they had COVID-19.
  • Inside the enclosed environment of the hospital, the “isolation” Griffin referred to is also the new normal. A Cedars-Sinai spokesperson explained, saying, “In all locations, patients wear masks and are isolated, and/or there is a six-foot distance maintained between them.

The Protective Environment

Griffin talks about how she expected “white suits”, “blue-taped ceilings”, and decontamination in a “shower room”. This is because she was, as she admits, “freaked out”. She had convinced herself that her abdominal issues were proof that she had the coronavirus, and she expected to be treated in a hyper-sterile environment straight out of a science fiction movie.

And when she wasn’t, it didn’t occur to her that (1), those kinds of quarantine setups aren’t usually found in public hospitals, and (2), she didn’t have the coronavirus.

Instead, she inferred that the precautions being taken weren’t good enough to match the preconceptions that she had in her head.

Denied a Test

Griffin was upset that she wasn’t tested for the coronavirus. She suggests that she wasn’t tested because the hospital didn’t have enough kits to accommodate her needs. But, according to her symptoms, there was no reason to think she had the virus.

The doctor followed established protocol. As Griffin said:

The doctor was going through the boxes and going through the boxes (on a symptoms checklist) and she kept saying, like, ‘Ugh, because of the lungs, the fever and the kind of cough … you don’t meet the CDC requirements.’”

Clear lungs…no fever…no persistent cough.

It would have been medically-irresponsible for the ER doctor to test her for an illness that she almost certainly did not have.

In fact, because she was ill (with an abdominal infection), and because she kept insisting on getting a coronavirus test, Griffin was given the choice to be admitted to the hospital for further observation and, if necessary, additional tests.

Griffin chose to go home.

 What REALLY Happened

Kathy Griffin and her husband took a trip to Mexico. A few days after she returned home and started feeling sick to her stomach, most likely from a bug she picked up south of the border.

Like a lot of people these days, Griffin was afraid. At the first sign of ANY sickness, she was ready to believe that she was infected with the dread coronavirus.

The urgent care clinic wasn’t equipped to deal with the severity of her illness, so they did the responsible thing and sent her to a larger facility with more resources and specialists. This move freaked Griffin out, leading her to believe she was sicker than she really was.

Griffin saw and experienced the new precautionary containment methods at the hospitals and it scared her even more. She saw the tents and the protective equipment and the social distancing, and it convinced her that she was entering a hot zone where EVERYONE — including her — was a likely coronavirus victim.

Scared as she was, Griffin got upset that she wasn’t automatically tested. She couldn’t distinguish between needing a test and wanting one. A test would have made her feel better, and she didn’t get one. It bothered her that the doctor didn’t cater to her wishes.

Griffin went home, stewed about it for a few days, and decided she needed to blame someone else for her fears. And who better than her old nemesis, Donald Trump?

End…of…story.

  1. Kathy Griffin probably ate food in Mexico that was washed with Mexican water. In Mexico they use “human waste” to fertilize vegetables for growing. That’s why she had diarrhea from the bacteria that Americans dont have a tolerance for. I know it happened to me back in the 80’s awful but it’s not Corona virus. Hospital was right in refusing the Hollywood Queen. She’s demanding a virus test ? What a bitch .

  2. I could tell in her photo that she was faking corona in the hospital bed. If it was Corona, and as bad as she claimed, she would have been on a respirator and hooked up to monitors.
She is scum, just like 90% of Hollyweird!

  3. She is such a horrible person, even her crap can’t get away from her fast enough.

But seriously, she could have C-Diff, a highly contageous infection that causes explosive diarrhea, and is rampant in the aged and infirmed.

  4. Ya ‘spose Trump is concerned about her case of the drizzling s$*^s? I think it is great to learn that a severe case of TDS has these symptoms.

    Dear Ms Griffin.

Have as nice an Easter, as possible.

    But,
my impression was unfortunately always that your reports did somehow have a suspicious odor.
    Now I know why.

Diarrhea is unpleasant, but it does not rank with either the virus, the loss of our economy and personal liberties which loom in our future. Yes, YOUR and mine.
Think about it. Oppose what your sisters, Diana Feinstein, Marco Rubio (??), Susan Collins are brewing up by trying to diminish free thought and free speech.

    NO?

    K A R M A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Apparently the few friends you have left don’t tell you the truth. After what you’ve done twice by sucking up to the ones you think find your actions to their liking funny, I would never mention Trump again. You wore out your welcome so just fade away.
