Even though Donald Trump recently dumped on former Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, she has continued to defend him in public.
The most recent example was an audio of a private conversation of Trump that was dropped.
McEnany called it “absurd” that these alleged private conversations that were meant to be off the record continue to pop up on mainstream media outlets.
It’s Absurd
McEnany was discussing the audio of Trump discussing classified documents with a journalist having been published.
Hannity asked, “That’s been violated by somebody.
“I don’t know, why do I assume that a leak to a liberal outlet likely didn’t come from some conservative but maybe somebody close to that special counsel? Just a guess. I don’t know. What do you think, Kayleigh?”
McEnany responded, “Yeah, you know, Sean, it’s absurd, but that is a key point.
“I sit here and I see these things, these details of the case in a court of law by a special counsel come in, and they’re aired on CNN.
“We get a transcript of the tape. We get an audio recording of the tape. How does that happen?
“How was that not violative of the process?
“And at the time when — I saw today an NBC poll, in the 30 percentile is the approval rating of the DoJ and FBI, we need confidence in our government, in our institutions, and this doesn’t instill much when this is getting leaked to the likes of CNN.”
In this case, we have to separate the content of the video from the fact it was leaked.
The very basis of our justice system is that everyone is entitled to a fair trial, and, clearly, regardless of what people think of Trump or of what he allegedly did, he is not getting that.
The number of leaks that have taken place regarding his suits is utterly staggering, clearly showing there are some rats in the kitchen.
