Police are investigating a string of related bomb explosions in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco, California. Other blasts were reported in Hayes Valley and “various locations across the city.” They aren’t saying much but an image shows fragments of what looks like a sort of cardboard pipe-bomb or stick of dynamite. Nancy Pelosi isn’t phased by the third-world condition of her home city.
Bomb reports across city
Police in San Francisco are looking for the bomb maker who has been planting explosive devices across the city as “a string of small explosions” were reported on Sunday, September 18.
Calls started coming in to the police after local residents in Hayes Valley and the Tenderloin said they were hearing explosions. They were right.
Police confirmed there were explosions. They also verified that several buildings were left with broken windows. Specifically, “broken windows at Willow Street and damage to a business’s window at Fulton Street.”

Thankfully, no injuries were reported in any of the recent bomb blasts. One Twitter user adds that “explosions were also heard in District 9, which includes the Mission.” Police have not confirmed that.
According to Police Captain Derrick Jackson of Northern Station, “a small device that was set off in the area of 355 Fulton between Franklin and Gough. There was damage to a business plate glass window, but no civilians were injured.”
If a bomb blast isn’t bad enough, he wrote in an email to the Hayes Valley Safe community group that he “was also made aware that this has happened recently, more than once.”
Identify who is responsible
The Captain can’t wait to get his hands on the bomb maker. “We are investigating and will be following-up to hopefully identify who is responsible for these acts.”
“I will keep the community updated with any information I receive.” They haven’t caught anyone yet. Without help from the public, they aren’t likely to.
In a separate statement, a San Francisco police spokesperson told The Standard that “on Saturday at approximately 3:50 p.m., police officers assigned to Tenderloin Station responded to Willow Street and Polk Street to a report of a possible explosion.”
When officers arrived, “they found that several building windows on Willow Street were broken and a parked vehicle was damaged” as the direct result of a bomb blast.
“Officers located a witness, who did not see the incident but reportedly heard a loud explosion.” They quickly called in the bomb squad. “Members of the San Francisco Police Department Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team responded to the scene and took over the investigation.”
Police really need you to do their job for them again. They want you to call the tip line if you have any information. If it leads to a bust, they may cut you a pay check for it.
