It’s turning into a no holds barred cage match between President Donald Trump and the World Health Organization. He held nothing back when he fired off a four page nastygram on Monday to smack the WHO back into their place. They have 30 days to cut the Chinese puppet strings or permanently lose American funding.
The temporary holds are about to go permanent
Poison dripped from every letter as President Donald Trump wrote, “Dear Dr. Tedros:” He wasted no time getting straight to the needle sharp point. “On April 14, 2020, I suspended United States contributions to the World Health Organization pending an investigation by my Administration of the organization’s failed response to the COVID-19 outbreak.” He wasn’t happy with what they found. China holds the WHO in the palm of their hand. It shows an “alarming lack of independence from the People’s Republic of China.”
His team discovered that the WHO “consistently ignored credible reports of the virus spreading in Wuhan in early December.” Maybe even before that. The WHO didn’t investigate “credible reports that conflicted directly with the Chinese government’s official accounts” either. They knew by the end of December that there was a “major public health concern” in Wuhan. The next day they learned from Taiwan about “human-to-human” transmission, but “chose not to share any of this critical information with the rest of the world.”
China didn’t follow International Health Regulations and failed “to report the risk of a health emergency within 24 hours.” When Dr. Zhang Yongzhen told Chinese authorities on January 5, 2020, that “he had sequenced the genome of the virus,” the information wasn’t published for another six days until the Dr. posted it himself. When he did, “Chinese authorities closed his lab for ‘rectification.'”

Bowing to pressure from China
On January 14, the WHO was still confirming “China’s now-debunked claim that the coronavirus could not be transmitted between humans.” A week after that, on January 21, “President Xi Jinping of China reportedly pressured you not to declare the coronavirus outbreak an emergency.” They agreed. The next day, they “told the world that the coronavirus did not pose a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.” It took them another week to face the reality. It’s obvious that China holds their puppet strings.
Despite Chinese repression of the truth, the WHO praised their “transparency.” They new but didn’t mention that China had “silenced or punished several doctors for speaking out” and “restricted Chinese institutions from publishing information” about the virus. It took until the end of January for a declaration that it was an international concern. It was another two weeks before outside investigators got into China. The team wasn’t allowed to visit Wuhan until the very last day of their trip. Two Americans on the team were locked out of Wuhan entirely and the WHO let them get away with it.
The WHO was all in favor of China locking in it’s citizens but was against President Trump for wanting to lock them out. Trump put holds on travel anyway. “I put the ban in place regardless of your wishes. Your political gamesmanship on the issue was deadly,” the president writes. In fact they said on February 3 that “travel restrictions were ‘causing more harm than good.'” Before Wuhan was locked down, “Chinese authorities had allowed more than five million people to leave the city.” Many of them were headed “for international destinations all over the world.”
Wildly inaccurate assertions
By March, the WHO was helping China downplay the “very serious risk of asymptomatic spread.” Instead of telling everyone that they can spread it even before they know they have it, they said, COVID-19 does not transmit as efficiently as influenza.” China’s assertions were “wildly inaccurate.” On March 11, the outbreak was finally declared a pandemic.
If the WHO were serious about what they do, they would publicly call on China “to allow for an independent investigation into the origins of the virus.” President Trump makes note that the WHO wasn’t always this friendly to the Chinese and wonders what kind of spell Xi Jinping holds them with. “Just a few short years ago,” Trump notes, “under the direction of a different Director-General, the World Health Organization showed the world how much it had to offer.”
After the way they botched this one, leading to global destruction, Trump promises America won’t fund our own destruction. “The only way forward for the World Health Organization is if it can actually demonstrate independence from China.” If they don’t “commit to major substantive improvements within the next 30 days, I will make my temporary freeze of United States funding to the World Health Organization permanent and reconsider our membership in the organization.” Why pay for something that is “so clearly not serving America’s interests.”
