A Fulton County prosecutor was looking for a big fish on the stand to get some big headlines.
She just got one step closer to landing her game fish.
After an Obama-appointed judge ruled against Senator Graham, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is licking her chops to get Graham on the stand.
Utter Nonsense
Graham was livid when he was served a subpoena to appear before a grand jury on a Georgia election interference case.
Graham even pointed out that he voted to certify the election, so how could he be involved in any effort to overthrow the election?
He also publicly went against Trump on numerous occasions regarding the election outcome.
Even so, Willis wants him on the stand and she also apparently wants access to Graham’s communications.
Willis stated, “During the telephone calls, the Witness questioned Secretary Raffensperger and his staff about reexamining certain absentee ballots cast in Georgia in order to explore the possibility of more favorable outcome for former President Donald Trump.”
Adding that Graham “made reference to allegations of widespread voter fraud in the November 2020 election in Georgia, consistent with public statements made by known affiliates of the Trump Campaign.”
This fight is not quite over, however, as Graham’s office responded, “Here, Senator Graham was doing his due diligence before the Electoral Count Act certification vote — where he voted to certify the election.
“Although the district court acknowledged that Speech or Debate may protect some of Senator Graham’s activities, she nevertheless ignored the constitutional text and binding Supreme Court precedent, so Senator Graham plans to appeal to the 11th Circuit.”
Make no mistake about it… Graham will exhaust every legal outlet before sitting on that stand.
