The Democrat Party had made some big moves over the last few years to the far left.
Leadership in the party has embraced this, figuring the loudest mouths in the party must be appeased.
Well, that decision is starting to hurt Democrats, as the more moderate members of the party are starting to leave in large numbers.
Time to Go
We have seen some pretty high-profile Democrats leave the party recently.
The latest being Gloria Romero, the former California State Senate Democratic Majority Leader.
Romero recently announced that she had enough of the new party, leaving to join the GOP.
She stated, “In this Capitol behind me, I served as both Senate Democratic Caucus chair and the Senate majority leader. But today I say goodbye. Adios! I’ve had enough.
“This is not the Democratic Party that I once championed.
“I do not recognize it anymore, and I cannot continue.
“I changed my voting registration today as the sun was rising to Republican, which has, under Donald Trump, become the champion of working people … and indeed, I will vote for Donald Trump this fall.”
Keep in mind, this is just not any member of the state legislature, but the former party leader in the senate state legislature, so this is a pretty big deal.
I fully expect to see more of this as Jewish Democrats in the party are getting disgusted by the stance of the party in regard to the Israel-Hamas war.
That single narrative could be the deciding factor in the upcoming election, which is why the White House continues to pressure Israel to solve this and call for a cease-fire.
The longer that war goes on, the bigger the problem it becomes for Democrats in this election.
