As more and more tests have become available and the reality of the coronavirus starts to settle in, our Surgeon General has issued a rather ominous warning.
U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams stated, “I want America to understand — this week, it’s going to get bad.
“We really, really need everyone to stay at home.
“I think that there are a lot of people who are doing the right things, but … we’re finding out a lot of people think this can’t happen to them.”
One of the reasons panic is starting to sweep the nation is due to the massive uptick in reported cases over the last week.
If anyone had been listening to the experts, this is exactly what we expected to see.
Because testing kits were initially limited, the positive cases were more or less limited to those showing full symptoms.
This did not impact their treatment of whether or not these people would die from this condition.
Until we have a treatment, to put it bluntly, these cases have to naturally play out.
As of this morning, 479 people have died and probably would have died no matter what due mostly to underlying health problems they had when they contracted the coronavirus.
New York was doing 1,000 tests per day and the state is now doing 16,000 tests per day, so, yes, positive cases are going to continue to dramatically rise in coming day, which is exactly what our Surgeon General is warning everyone about.
And, as bad as the numbers are, they are going to get worse if people don’t respect the rules regarding social distancing, cleanliness, and hygiene.
The longer this goes on without a treatment, the more vulnerable our elderly become and those that have the more severe causes become more susceptible to becoming a casualty in this fight.
Just follow the rules, people, so we can keep the numbers as low as possible until treatment is available.
If not, the warning from the Surgeon General will not only come true but it will probably be far worse than even he is imagining right now.
