The Israeli forces are celebrating another victory as breaking news has come in that another senior Hamas commander has been eliminated. The incident occurred during an overnight airstrike conducted by Israel Defense Forces.

The commander, identified as Wael Asfeh, was reportedly part of the Deir al-Balah Battalion within the Central Camps Brigade and had taken part in sending terrorists to Israeli territory during a deadly attack that occurred on October 7th.

According to IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari, intelligence from both Shin Bet and IDF guided the fighter jet during this mission. With many hostages believed to be located in tunnels beneath Gaza City, it is thought that further action will soon take place.

The Times of Israel reported on the incident:

“The Israel Defense Forces says it has killed the commander of Hamas’s Deir al Balah battalion in an overnight airstrike in the Gaza Strip.

The IDF says Wael Asfeh, along with other commanders of the so-called Central Camps Brigade, took part in sending terrorists of Hamas’s elite Nukhba forces into Israel during the October 7 onslaught.

Asfeh planned additional attacks, the IDF says. The IDF says Asfeh was jailed by Israel between 1992 and 1998 for his involvement in a number of attacks against Israeli communities.

The military publishes a video showing the airstrike.

So far, the IDF has reported killing more than a dozen senior Hamas field commanders.”

This is a developing story.
