One of the more bizarre crime stories I have ever seen took place in Oklahoma.
Four men went for a bike ride, at least that was the cover story, and were never seen alive again.
Several days later their bodies were found in the Deep Fork River.
Then things really get weird.
Cut in Half
Alex Stevens, 29, left for a bike ride with Mark Chastain, 32, his brother Billy Chastain, 30, and Mike Sparks, 32, on October 9.
That was the last time they were seen alive.
The next time they were seen, their bodies were cut in half, floating in the river.
Alex’s mother, Theresa, stated, “My son and his friends were first shot multiple times, chopped in half at their waist and then thrown into the Deep Fork River to rot away.”
She added, “It’s something you read about on the news, about what they did to my son and his friends.
“To chop a body in half is what the drug cartels do to the dead.
“Whoever did this clearly wanted to send a message.”
Joe Kennedy has been named as a person of interest in the case.
As it turns out, police believe the four men left home that day with nefarious intentions.
One of the phones was pinged at Kennedy’s salvage yard before they were all murdered.
Stevens stated, “Even if they were up there at the salvage yard up to no good or drugs were involved, no one deserved to die.”
It looks like the boys poked the wrong bear and paid a big price.
