Donald Trump has started naming his appointments, but one in particular really seems to be getting under the skin of Democrats.
That would be former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), who is now a Republican.
She was also just appointed as Trump’s pick to be the Director of National Intelligence, and it is creating a meltdown on the left side of the aisle.
They Hate Her
Tulsi Gabbard became a marked woman when she obliterated Kamala Harris during the 2020 Democrat primary races.
Gabbard derailed Harris’ campaign by pointing out the main lies that Harris told about her prosecutorial record.
In the process, she eliminated Harris from the race before the first primary race.
After that debate, where Harris also insinuated that Joe Biden was a racist, she had an interview in the spin room where she more or less dismissed Gabbard as a secondary candidate, and America responded by booting her out of the race.
Now Democrats are freaking out over Gabbard joining the Trump administration, but this is far from the first time Democrats have attacked her.
For instance, in 2019, Hillary Clinton stated, “I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate. She’s the favorite of the Russians.”
Hillary did not actually mention Gabbard by name, but everyone knew exactly who she meant.
At this point, Gabbard was the disruptor, the Donald Trump of the party, if you will, and the establishment wanted her removed.
Those attacks are now continuing, with Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) stating, “Not only is she ill-prepared and unqualified, but she traffics in conspiracy theories and cozies up to dictators like Bashar-al Assad and Vladimir Putin.”
Rep. Seth Magaziner (D-R.I.) piled on, adding, “Tulsi Gabbard’s deep ties to some of our nation’s most dangerous adversaries, including Bashar al-Assad of Syria and Vladimir Putin of Russia, make her an untrustworthy guardian of our nation’s most closely held secrets.
“As the highest-ranking intelligence official in the federal government, she would have access to information spanning everything from our nation’s nuclear weapons program to the location and activities of our military service members, and we cannot risk this information falling into the hands of our adversaries.”
Considering that Gabbard is still an officer in the Army Reserve, I would have to say that this is nothing more than fearmongering by the Dems to try to get people outraged over the Trump administration.
If you ask me, America made it clear it was tired of this nonsense, so I just don’t see these baseless accusations taking grip with the American people to the point that her appointment will be derailed.
