Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has yet another problem on his hands.
Why Harris picked Walz over Shapiro still baffles me, and it is probably baffling the Democrat Party at this point with yet another scandal involving Walz being unearthed by the GOP.
The latest involves millions of dollars in fraud related to COVID relief funds.
The House has now issued subpoenas to gather the documents related to the fraud.
I Did Nothing Wrong
This is one of those instances where Walz and his top staffers are trying to deflect away the blame for something that happened on their watch.
The fraud involved a company that was being paid from relief funds to feed children during the pandemic.
Only the company was submitting bogus names and collecting payment on phantom students.
When Walz’s office was asked about the fraud, it responded, “The state department of education worked diligently to stop the fraud and we’re grateful to the FBI for working with the department of education to arrest and charge the individuals involved.”
Minnesota Commissioner of Education Willie Jett added, “What happened with Feeding Our Future was a travesty — a coordinated, brazen abuse of nutrition programs that exist to ensure access to healthy meals for low-income children
“The responsibility for this flagrant fraud lies with the indicted and convicted fraudsters.”
But here is the thing… you were in charge of oversight and this was taking place right under your nose.
You don’t have to be complicit in the scheme to be found at fault for it happening, and that is the case here.
We bring this up because if elected to office, Walz and Harris will oversee trillions in American taxpayer dollars, and neither one of them has a lick of business sense.
This is just one more reason to make sure this Democrat ticket does not get into the White House.
