House Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) is letting her January 6 Select Committee spend millions to put on a Hollywood production.
They hired a professional Hollywood producer.
They have fancy graphics, videos, and props.
They even got prime-time airtime.
Only none of it is working as Dems hoped.
The Needle
This week, several polls were released on the impact of the hearings on voters.
The needle has not moved even though the hearings are now boasting some good numbers.
The only needle that did move is that fewer people now believe the riot on January 6 was a real threat to our country.
Most see it as an outlier organized by a few crazies and will not happen again.
Another problem for Democrats is that while the hearings have had dramatic and compelling testimony, the bulk of it is hearsay and they are not corroborating the testimony even though it would be pretty simple to do so.
In one instance, they had a witness in the chair cited by a previous witness, and they did not even bother to ask him if the testimony was accurate.
This committee has yet to show that it is interested in the actual truth, and Americans see right through it.
So, once again, millions of taxpayer dollars are being flushed simply so Democrats have some good photo-ops, headlines, and fundraising material.
