New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan will be a thorn in Trump’s side for the foreseeable future.
Trump’s attorneys wanted Merchan to step aside in the trial.
Merchan, however, told them no, that the public would be better served to have him sitting on the bench.

This is not good for Trump.
Merchan has not exactly been a friend to Trump on the bench, so his team dug into his donations and found that the donated a whopping $35 to Democrats and Democrat causes.
The real issue, however, was that his daughter works for a left-wing marketing company that would benefit from a Trump conviction.
Regardless, Merchan says he will be the one holding the gavel.
He stated, “This Court has examined its conscience and is certain in its ability to be fair and impartial.”
Merchan is apparently like Joe Biden… he says it, so it must be true.
Keep in mind, Merchan was the judge in the Trump organization case when he handed down a $1.6 million fine, the largest allowable by law.
So, if Trump is found guilty, don’t expect too much mercy from this court.
