We all know that Joe Biden and Democrats are in bed with the Chinese.
In recent years, we have seen reports about the Chinese buying up farmland around the country, some of it along the southern border.
Well, Trump says that will all end when he is in office.
Can He Do It?
So, before I get into what Trump said, we have to consider if he can really do this.
Legislation has been attempted before to block this, but it has not really been successful.
When Texas tried to pass legislation on this front, it was actually blocked, citing landowner rights to sell their land to whomever they see fit.
Just keep that in mind when you read Trump’s thoughts on this.
The former president and candidate stated, “We have to have control of our land.
“We have to have control of our economy. We have to have control of our borders. We have to make sure we’re in charge of our own country.
“We’re losing that with these people, these unbelievable so-called leaders we have.
“They’re allowing our country to be sold out from under us.
“We have to be very careful and we have to be very prudent. We can’t let this happen.
“Do you think China would let us go in and buy their land and do what they do?
“I don’t think so, okay. It won’t happen. So we have to be very careful.”
I honestly don’t think Trump will be able to deliver on this promise because I imagine the Supreme Court would consider this either a state issue or an individual right that the United States government cannot infringe on.
I look forward to hearing from constitutional experts like Jonathan Turley on this one to see what Trump can and cannot do.
Until then, I am not going to get my hopes up too much.
