Trump Threatens to Move RNC Convention, in Response to Dem Tactic

If Roy Cooper, North Carolina’s Democrat Governor, won’t ease up on his economy killing and anti-conservative tactic, President Donald Trump threatens to yank the Republican National Convention out of his state so fast that his head will spin like a top.

President demands ‘full attendance’ at convention

President Donald Trump hammered North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper Monday morning, over the democrat’s plans to influence the election through “social distance” restrictions. The Governor is doing what he can now to hinder the GOP in August. Trump made his anger crystal clear on his favorite social media platform. Don’t even think about limiting attendance, he threatened.

“I love the Great State of North Carolina,” Trump tweeted. “So much so that I insisted on having the Republican National Convention in Charlotte at the end of August.” There is one little problem though. “Unfortunately,” Trump tapped, “Democrat Governor, @RoyCooperNC is still in Shutdown mood & unable to guarantee that by August we will be allowed full attendance in the Arena.”

That would be a massive mistake for the governor, costing him a huge revenue boost for all the hotels, restaurants, and other accommodations which rely on the GOP’s business. Not to mention the fact that they were going to bring the Arena back to life. “In other words, we would be spending millions of dollars building the Arena to a very high standard without even knowing if the Democrat Governor would allow the Republican Party to fully occupy the space.”

The President needs to know now

This kind of massive political event requires a huge amount of advance planning, including security arrangements. If the Governor forces a move now, it will be a black eye to the entire state for years to come, making major event planners wary of shifty commitments. “Plans are being made by many thousands of enthusiastic Republicans, and others, to head to beautiful North Carolina in August. They must be immediately given an answer by the Governor as to whether or not the space will be allowed to be fully occupied.”

If socialist North Carolina doesn’t want their business, the Republicans will find a capitalist leaning state which does. “If not, we will be reluctantly forced to find, with all of the jobs and economic development it brings, another Republican National Convention site.”

The president notes, this isn’t something he’s happy about doing. “This is not something I want to do. Thank you, and I LOVE the people of North Carolina!” He expects the Governor’s phone to start ringing off the hook from all the local business owners relying on the gathering.

The president wasn’t exaggerating when he insisted that “many thousands” would be heading to the convention near the end of August. They will come from all over the country to pack “tightly” into the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, COVID-19 or not. If not there, then somewhere else. The quarantine measures that made sense when their was a chance it would go around once and stop. Now we know it will be just another flu. Any further foot dragging seems like intentional efforts to make the economic disaster far worse than it needs to be and President Donald Trump isn’t about to put up with it.
