So, when Tucker Carlson announced that he was going to do his own thing, he made a vow.
He said he would not try to get into election predictions and he was going to go after hard news.
He has already drifted away from that, and his Twitter show is now basically just a reboot of what he was doing on Fox News… which is what his viewers want, by the way.
Big Bomb
To that point, Tucker decided to throw some shade on Barack Obama, and I found it rather amusing.
Tucker blasted out a narrative that the media refused to report in 2008.
He stated, “2008, it became really clear that Barack Obama had been having sex with men and smoking crack.
“A guy came forward, Larry Sinclair, and said ‘I’ll sign an affidavit’ and he did, ‘I’ll do a lie detector’ and he did.
“‘I smoked crack with Barack Obama and had sex with him.’ Well, that was obviously true.”
Now, I don’t know if the Sinclair story is real or not, but Tucker made a great point that still holds true today.
The media is now another wing of the Democrat Party, for all intents and purposes.
They are terrified of losing access to Democrats, so they allow Democrats to dictate the terms of coverage.
We saw this in 2008, and we surely saw this in 2020 and beyond.
The media creates a narrative, then reports on that narrative, rather than allowing the news to dictate the narrative.
