DOGE has an official government administrator that Democrats can blame for saving taxpayers money. They couldn’t come to grips with the thought that President Trump delegated efficiency power to Elon Musk he can wield with a chainsaw. Amy Gleason has been named acting head of the efficiency panel.
In the DOGE house
Amy Gleason has been declared “the acting administrator of the U.S. DOGE Service.” That’s the official government entity which “houses” the Department of Government Efficiency, which is only temporary.
Democrats have been having convulsions since the panel was first established because the word “department” means something special in political language. That’s okay. Trump doesn’t do politically correct anything. It automatically infuriates Democrats and that’s half the fun of doing it.
The richest billionaire on the planet has been bringing herds of DOGE nerds into sensitive and classified places. They aren’t up to anything nefarious, simply sifting through the accounting records to see what obvious trends pop up.
There have been several which can only be accounted for by unchecked fraud and abuse. Progressives are going frantic because the lawsuits they filed to stop them haven’t stopped them.
The announcement of a formal acting administrator, CNN snarls, comes “after weeks of questions about Elon Musk’s official role and authority over DOGE.”
They haven’t understood Trump’s clear explanation that Elon Musk can do whatever he wants. Wherever, whenever and to who it pleases him. All in the name of draining the swamp.
Technology background
You may recognize Ms. Gleason because she’s been a member of federal government for quite some time, in less glamorous roles. Her original background is health care. When Barry Soetoro, aka Harrison Bounel, aka Barack Obama created the U.S. Digital Service, she worked there.
Before appointed to run DOGE, Gleason also served on the White House Coronavirus Task Force’s data team. That was under President Trump.
Dr. Deborah Birx was in charge of that effort and Gleason was added to the team because of her technology background. CNN has been going frantic trying to nail down Elon Musk’s position in the federal bureaucracy. They can’t accept the fact he doesn’t have one.
“Despite pledging full transparency, the White House has refused or been unable to identify the administrator of DOGE, including during Tuesday’s press briefing.” That would be the one for February 25.
Now that they have a name and a title they can point to in an organization chart, liberals are still freaking out that Musk gets to do as he pleases.
“While Musk has served as the initiative’s public face and continues to issue social-media directives to government workers, the White House has maintained that his status is one of a special government employee, and not a full-time worker.” The president turned his DOGE loose on government and he’s attacking liberal programs like they’re a plate of red meat.
