Wild-West Shootout Over Mayo Leaves Subway Worker Dead

Subway

A Subway sandwich worker in Atlanta, Georgia, is dead and another injured, after putting too much mayonnaise on someone’s sub. It’s yet another example of how sad the state of America’s affairs has become. Just like 1822, in 2022, reaching for a gun is the go-to way of settling a dispute.

Wild-West Shootout at Subway

Return with us now, once again, to the thrilling days of yesteryear. The Subway restaurant at 74 Northside Drive became the OK Corral around 7:15 p.m. Sunday, June 26. When police are nowhere in sight, opportunists prey on the weak and undefended.

All it takes to trigger a violent gun battle is a little too much mayo. According to franchise owner Willie Glenn, “a customer allegedly got upset over the amount of mayonnaise that was put on his sandwich. That’s when things escalated and the two employees were shot by the customer.

Both were sisters and “committed Subway employees,” Glenn relates. The older sibling unfortunately didn’t make it, while the other is fighting for her life.

When police responded to the shots fired call, they found “a 26-year-old woman and her sister, who was also shot,” The younger sister “is 24-years-old and made it to the hospital in critical condition.

According to the owner, the younger girl “also had her 5-year-old son with her inside the Subway when the suspect started shooting from outside the store.” He vocalized what’s on the minds of every sane American. “I don’t know what the world is coming to these days with our youth, everyone seems to be so hot headed.

Most people don’t realize that’s simply a symptom of the failed liberal polices which decriminalized crime while making laws virtually impossible to enforce. The only option for many is armed self-defense. Protecting yourself is constitutionally protected. Capping someone for too much mayo is a crime. At least, it should be.

Manager pulled a gun, too

As related by Mr. Glenn, his manager on duty at the time “was armed with a gun of his own” and “attempted to stop the shooter.” He could use a few lessons on accuracy.

My manager was able to exchange gunfire with him..but of course he didn’t hit him and it ended up as a wild shootout in the parking lot.” Thankfully, no innocent bystanders in front of the Subway store were hit by flying lead.

Gun violence in Atlanta is just as out of control as it is in New York or Portland. “There is just a whole lot of shooting and killing going on and this is just ridiculous.

All Mr. Glenn can say is “my heart right now is just with my employees.” Subway isn’t supposed to be a high stress dangerous job, but it is. Generally, for minimum wage as well.

Atlanta Police report they actually have “a suspect in custody after receiving a community tip.” Somebody recognized the Subway shooter and decided to cash in by dropping a dime. Their suspect “is a 36-year-old man but they would not release his name because it is still an ongoing investigation.” This latest outrage is prompting the community to step up “to put an end to the ongoing senseless violence.

Activist Gerald Rose is “asking all young people to put down their pistols and pick up their pencils.” They can’t make fat stacks on the corner with a pencil. His group would be happy to take the gang bangers to visit a museum. If they took him up on it, they’d probably case the place for burglary later.
