Woman found decapitated
Authorities are still investigating the “decapitation murder” of a woman which happened in San Carlos, California on September 8. They have a suspect in custody, so the hard part is over.
What the public knows, so far, is that a man later identified as Jose Solano Landaeta “allegedly cut off a woman’s head in the middle of a California street.” The town is a suburb of Democrat controlled San Francisco.
Law and Crime notes that authorities “did not describe the weapon, but radio traffic described by KGO mentioned a 25-year-old woman decapitated by a sword.” Police haven’t mentioned that because they’re still looking for the weapon.

They didn’t rule a sword out though. Cops aren’t naming any names because they want to notify the victim’s family. Inside sources pointed reporters in the right direction and they confirmed that a Jose Solano Landaeta is listed as an inmate of the San Mateo Jail, charged on a murder count.
Whatever he calls himself, the amateur ninja is being held without bail for a while. Police assured the public that there is no outstanding threat to the community but requested to please stay out of the area, while they scour the scene for evidence.
A spokesperson for the Sheriff’s department gave some further details about how the woman met her violent demise.

According to Lieutenant Eamonn Allen, “the incident happened in the street outside the woman’s home.” Police got involved when “witnesses flagged down deputies at approximately 11:50 a.m. on Thursday, reporting an in-progress assault” in the area of Laurel Street and Magnolia Avenue.
Deputies “arrived within minutes” but were far too late. The woman was “obviously deceased.”
Neighbor Chapel Thorborne will never get the images out of his brain. He knew the woman and her killer. “The head was underneath the car and she was laying in the back of the car — just severed.” Police covered her up. Officers “began to work the scene and shortly thereafter, the male suspect arrived back at the scene and was quickly detained by sheriff’s deputies. He was later placed under arrest for homicide.”
The neighbor was amazed at what happened next. “After he cut her head off, he came walking up, him and his two friends,” Thorborne said. “And they walked right by me and they arrested him.”
Lt. Allen notes they “can confirm that a stabbing instrument was used in the commission of the crime. That weapon is still outstanding.” He also confirmed that the woman had two children who did “not see the crime.” CPS took custody of two girls, a 1-year-old and 7-year-old. There was also a dog and two cats. The “victim and suspect had reportedly been a couple of some sort.”
The “suspect reportedly had a violent criminal history and a history of mental health challenges. The woman got a temporary restraining order against the man in April, according to KGO. Authorities described the suspect as being a resident of the city of Hayward, across the San Francisco Bay from San Carlos.“
