As if Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) does not have enough problems…
Cawthorn has lost his wife and his career in a matter of months.
Sadly, his job as a congressman is what cost him his marriage.
Now it has also cost him everything else.

Cawthorn double-dipped during the campaign to defend his seat during the primary.
Campaign laws allow candidates to fundraise for both the primary and general elections simultaneously.
However, if they lose their primary, they must return the money from their general election fund.
Cawthorn was reportedly running low on funds in the primary, so he allegedly (and illegally) tapped into his general election fund to pay the bills.
Having lost his primary election, he now has to refund that money to donors, but he has very little left of his campaign funds.
The Daily Beast reported, “There was just no money.
“It was dollar-in, dollar-out.
“So if he loses, it’s a really bad thing, and the only way to cover it is getting money straight from the candidate or treasurer.”
Cawthorn reportedly only has about $137,000 on hand, but he owes out $325,000 in debt alone.
Cawthorn had been called out prior, with numerous reports of excessive spending during the campaign.
For instance, he reportedly spent $21,000 on lodging and $3,000 at Papa’s Beer.
He was living the dream, thinking he was an easy win with Trump behind him, but he lost, mostly due to various reports showing some rather odd behavior.
He went from the rising star of the party to an outcast that some believe is mentally unstable with some of the tales he has been telling.
Cawthorn’s treasurer quit last week, and Cawthorn assumed the role, which is raising even more questions.
This kid’s career is over, as I don’t see anyone ever taking him seriously again.
Every time he makes a headline anymore, it is for all the wrong reasons, and the party and the MAGA movement does not need his drama.
