A local community in New Jersey is reeling.
Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour, a minority Republican, has been murdered.
Dwumfour was shot dead in her car in what seems like a targeted attack.
Assassination?
Police have already stated that they saw someone on video talking to her just prior to the murder.
Dwumfour was within eyeshot of her home when her car crashed into a neighbor’s vehicle.
When the neighbors inspected the scene, they noticed that Dwumfour was slumped over the wheel.
She had been shot in the head, with more bullets in the door.
There are two immediate possibilities that police are more than likely looking at right now.
Dwumfour was hoping to have an investigation into a former council member for an alleged bribery scheme.
The second was a lawsuit that had been brought against Dwumfour that has recently been dismissed.
Local authorities are asking anyone with any information on this case to please contact them: “This is an active and ongoing investigation anyone with information or surveillance footage of the area is asked to call Detective Rebecca Morales of the Sayreville Police Department at 732-727-4444 or Detective Michelle Coppola of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office 732-745-3477.”
