Another election day, and more crazies out there that want to become a front-page headline by taking their own lives.
On election day, Capitol Police announced that they had taken a man into custody who showed up smelling like fuel as well as carrying a torch and flare gun.
It would appear that he planned on lighting himself on fire for no apparent reason.
Light It Up
From the reports that I have read, the man had no real cause for doing this.
He was not protesting Trump, Harris, or even the election… he just wanted to set himself on fire.
Now, I don’t know about you, but that is one scene that I really never want to see again.
The last time I saw something like this, it was a soldier who poured gasoline all over himself, then lit himself on fire, and it was all captured on video.
You could almost smell the burning flesh through the computer screen, so no thanks.
The Capitol Police did release a brief statement on the matter, confirming they had no apparent motive at the time.
They stated, “Our officers just arrested a man who was stopped during our screening process at the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC).
“The man smelled like fuel, had a torch & a flare gun. The CVC is closed for tours for the day, while we investigate.
“We will provide more information when we can.”
Capitol Police Chief Thomas Manger added, “There’s no indication right now that it had anything to do with the election.”
For now, everything appears to be calm, but something tells me there will be a storm coming on inauguration day.
This is something that I would love to be wrong about, but I think the left is just in shock right now, and when that wears off, it will be ugly.
