Only days after a veto-proof majority of the Minneapolis City Council voted to disband the police department, the liberal administrators unanimously passed a resolution on Friday to replace the cops with a community-led public safety system, whatever that is.
Police departments are too ‘old-skool’
All those nasty police departments are too “old-skool,” meant only for white folks who can spell and text without smiley faces. The hood can handle it’s own, word? The murder of George Floyd by four men wearing uniforms, under highly dubious and possibly pre-planned circumstances, sparked weeks of riots from coast-to-coast and around-the-world. Even the Vatican says it’s a setup.
Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano is convinced “we will also discover that the riots in these days were provoked by those who, seeing that the virus is inevitably fading and that the social alarm of the pandemic is waning, necessarily have had to provoke civil disturbances, because they would be followed by repression which, although legitimate, could be condemned as an unjustified aggression against the population.”
“It appears that the children of darkness,” Vigano writes in an open letter to President Donald Trump dated June 6, “whom we may easily identify with the deep state which you wisely oppose and which is fiercely waging war against you in these days – have decided to show their cards, so to speak, by now revealing their plans.”
These evil forces, he notes, “often hold strategic positions in government, in politics, in the economy and in the media.” The good on the other hand, “are held hostage by the wicked and by those who help them either out of self-interest or fearfulness.” Some of those evil forces in Minneapolis government have a plan of their own.
The cops are un-redeemable
Five globalist minions of Darth Soros signed off on a statement declaring “The murder of George Floyd on May 25, 2020, by Minneapolis police officers is a tragedy that shows that no amount of reforms will prevent lethal violence.” All the training over the years has produced nothing but a pack of killers dressed in blue to prowl the neighborhoods and murder innocent people. They thought their cops behaved just fine until George Floyd came around though.
The Mayor, Jacob Frey, says the police aren’t being disbanded today. He supports the “massive structural reform to revise a structurally racist system” though. They need an excuse not to rush prematurely into dangerous and ill-conceived actions which could blow up in their face.
The resolution calls for a year-long process of engaging “with every willing community member in Minneapolis” to come up with a new public safety model.
The standard bureaucratic answer to any problem is to establish a committee. They set it up using vague terms of reference in order act like they are in a position to think through all the various implications, then can debate endlessly until they arrive on a decision based on long-term considerations. That way they don’t have to actually do anything now.
